Who we are looking for
We’re hiring a Business Development Lead (Sales) to help drive the next phase of growth at 97 Switch. This role will be the only full-time sales position at the company and comes with meaningful agency and responsibility.
You’ll be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing the sales process, and closing new partnerships. Initially, you’ll work closely with the Agency Founder on strategy, positioning, and select sales conversations. Over time, the goal is for you to fully own the sales function, with a clear growth path toward Director of Business Development.
This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, motivated by performance-based compensation, and willing to consistently put in the work required to build a strong pipeline.
This role is designed to grow over time. As 97 Switch scales, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Take full ownership of the sales process
- Help define long-term sales strategy
- Influence positioning, packaging, and go-to-market decisions
- Grow into a Director of Business Development role based on performance and impact
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, and relationship building
- Manage inbound leads from our website and lead generation partners
- Qualify prospects and guide them through a consultative sales process
- Lead sales conversations and close new partnerships, with founder involvement as needed
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Track activity, pipeline, and results using CRM and internal tools
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing, positioning, and service offerings
- Continuously improve sales processes as the company grows
- Represent 97 Switch professionally in all prospect interactions
What You Bring
Required
- Experience selling services, consulting, or professional solutions
- Comfort working independently without day-to-day oversight
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High personal accountability and follow-through
- Willingness to consistently prospect and create new relationships
- Comfort being measured on performance and outcomes
- Based in or near Portland, OR, and comfortable with a hybrid work schedule that includes regular in-office collaboration
Nice to Have
- Agency or digital marketing sales experience
- Familiarity with web, branding, or marketing services
- Experience working in a growing or entrepreneurial environment
